hey nice to hear from you BM,

yes i do use concealers and as a matter of fact have got some on now lol..i use toppik which in my personal opinion i find easy to apply and yes it does improve the appearance to a major extent.

since i am 4.5 months post op, i am willing to leave it in the recepient area for 2 days and then wash it off and repeat if i have to...the idea is to gradually ditch the cap that i wear...i figured out that the transformation is gonna be one hell of a ride and a bit of non-chemical fiber in their cant hurt me much...when i get to 5 months, i will post some pics to show with/without concealers.

Hi Azza

Be great to se some pictures with/without Toppik, i did what you do by leaving it in for an extra day and just doing a top up rather than washing my hair everyday and re applying.

Makes it last a lot longer as its not the cheapest stuff to buy but well worth it for peace of mind.

Nearly 5 months already, time goes by so quickly.

Take care

I have been especially interested in your case Azza as you are one of the only active members that have had some prior issues with yield. I am sure that this latest procedure is going to get you into a nice position and you'll be extremely pleased. You definitely deserve it given all that you have been thru.

so at 5 months post op, i can say that visually i have noticed very little change. it is still very see-through and scalp is highly visible in almost all situations.

by touching various areas of the recepient area, i can feel stubbles emerging which i guess is some positive signs (atleast something is emerging so to say). i got a haircut 3 days back to even things out so it could make a bit of a difference in these pics.

so heres hoping till 6 months post op....

for those who are interested and asked, on the other site, i have attached some pics with concelaers on my weblog. i am using toppik.

bm, you can paste the recent images on to here.

thanks all

Hi Azza.

Hopefully these stubbles are the start of things to come.

The Toppik works wonders on you and gives the appearance of a full head of hair.

Cheers bm.

Hey Azza,

how are things coming along for you now? Have you noticed any improvement yet? I've followed your case & hope all works out well for you by the time this procedure matures. BTW what was Rahal's explanation for the poor yield from the first op?

hang in there, your hair is definitely looking improved & the toppik is doing wonders for you during the down time.

hey NGTGB,

ye things are coming along well...nearing the 6 month mark quite soon so you will get a chance to see my current progress.

the cause for he poor yield according to dr rahal was that my scalp laxity on top was a bit stiff (if you get what i mean) and my caliber of hair was not exactly thick or thin, so therefore this factor didnt help in terms of yield and also considering that the area in which the yield was not good didnt recieve a highly dense pack number of grafts.

so taking this all in to consideration, i rectified this mistake by doing plenty of scalp exercise pre-op and dr rahal worked on that particular area during the second op.

hope this helps!

az!

Hey Azza,

Dr. Rahal is an excellent surgeon & if Hasson retired I would consider going to him, but his explanation doesn't make any sense to me & I've never heard of scalp laxity or donor density affecting yield. Regardless, I really hope your final results turn out stellar, you deserve it w/as much patience as you've had. I look forward to seeing your updates. Make no mistake about it you've already made a very positive transformation to your hair & it's only going to get better.

Congrats & keep us posted.Z:B

Hi Azza

I`ve compared your pictures side by side and i can definately see things are improving.Your hair is filling in and you cant see as much scalp now so it looks like you are on the road to achieving a good result.

You probably aren`t seeing the change as much with looking at it all the time but i can.

Take care bm.
