Hi Loui, I am intrigued about Dr. Michalis for a similar repair to yours, is it possible to send you a direct message?
Of course, message me or start a thread here and you can get others input aswell

I prefer direct messaging, you will understand the reason when you receive my message, but I'm not sure how to do it? I can't seem to find the DM feature on your profile or here?

Hey guys, have any of you had a repair procedure, where you had your new grafts implanted among the old grafts to increase density? Did you get any shock loss to your old grafts or did your repair procedure damage the old grafts? Or there is no reason to worry about this?

It is what has been done in my case as you can see on my photos, I have not experienced any less density from my previous surgery, so I think it has not damaged any of my other grafts around.

3 months since surgery update.

A pimple in the recipient area, the red spot.

This is for me and many others usually what happens when the grafts are about to start sprouting!

Yes, pimples are usually a sign of some new growth about to happen. Waiting eagerly to see yours.

So I decided on Dr Michalis Georgiou in Nicosia, Cyprus to add some density to my hairline. This was my 2nd hair transplant.

Why Dr Michalis?

I wanted a Dr who is involved in everything and with great experience. Hes doing all the manual extractions(so hes limited in how many grafts he can do per day, its very time consuming with manual fue, but extremely good if you want to take care of your donor area and do minimal damage), hes also doing all the incisions, while his nurses implant the grafts while Dr Michalis is in the room once in a while to supervise the process.

They are using high magnification loupes both Dr Michalis and all his nurses. They are using microscopes to sort the grafts aswell. They are highly professional in everything they do.

They are a very underrated in my opinion, Dr Michalis is trained by one of the greats, Dr Cole in the US and have been performing hair tranplants since 2003.

His pricing in Cyprus is 1,95 euro per graft and he also do surgery in Barcelona for 3 euro per graft.

Feel free to comment and ask me anything! :)
Am I correct in presuming that dr. Michalis dense packed your hairline by adding singles in the first row, but didn't lower it at all?

Looking forward to seeing how you turn out @loui, an additional 1200 grafts into the hairline should make a massive difference. :)

That is correct.

I can see that the extractions were made outside the "safe zone"?
Depends on what you mean with safe zone, its not anything extreme, its pretty conservative extractions compare to many of the best Doctors out there.

We will see soon :)

It is very interesting, I feel my nape hair is very strong and since I am 52 I do not believe it will ever fall out... But I heard that it can be used only for temple points? Where did you have it place?

Nape hair can be used for temple points and hairline. Quite a few people do recede from the neck up meaning using this hair has a slightly higher risk of succumbing to DHT.

Was it dr. Michalis proposal? It can be interesting to spare grafts from other zones

If nape was used, the doctor will have decided it was strong hair. Being on hair loss prevention meds will reinforce the decision to use hair from these areas that weren’t too often years ago but as FUE advancements are made, so does surgical protocol.

So an update at 4 months approx, I think it had added some more density.

Honestly I have stopped watching every day because I feel the density is alright now, before these surgeries I was wearing a cap all day, now I have not wore any caps in months and my girlfriend told me yesterday unintentionally when my hair was a mess and I was about to wear a cap for that sake, "take off the hat, you look better without it". It felt good, as she said before I did these surgeries that I dont need any surgery at all. :)

Before any surgeries and comparisons until now

It looks much fuller compared to where you were before! Could you please continue updating each month? It looks great, but this is definitely not the complete result, it will get better and better each month. Please continue with the updates, it will help many of us :)
