hey guys hope you are all well… quick question … anyone else develop more spots on the crown area after surgery ? I seem to have more on my crown then When I had my first op at the front…. Some are a little sore but not sore enough for me to fe worried about the grafts … should I be concerned or is this totally normal ? Obviously I don’t want to lose any grafts ! Something called folliculitis

Congrats on your second HT. Were you given any antibiotics to take? Some surgeons (H&W, for instance) advise antibiotic cover, others don't. It's easy to touch the crown without realising you're doing it, so it probably is more prone to folliculitis. You could consider using some Fucidin cream on the affected areas. It's available over the counter. Plus obvious advice like washing your hands thoroughly, washing any headgear, etc.

Ok thank you bro … I did take antibiotics post op but haven’t since and it’s now a month in … to be honest it isn’t all over and only on a couple areas… it’s not terribly bad either I think it may be down to touching my head too much haha which I don’t realise I’m doing half the time … so I will be carful not to touch too much now ! Fingers crossed none of the grafts have died !

Late reply from me but congratulations on this crown surgery. It surely will add to your transformation which has been excellent so far. The spots are normal, I assume they’ve cleared up now.
How is everything looking now?

2 months post op of the 2nd surgery … month 7 of the 1st op… no growth really as of yet from op 2 but I can feel stubbly hairs so that’s a great sign… 1st op is looking good now.. the hairline is strong… as I mentioned before, I suffered a bit of shedding due to shock loss but this should all re coop in the next couple months … I think by end of February I should be looking pretty good

Your hair is looking very good. Dr Mwamba has created a great result for you and I’m sure the crown will be equally as good.

Couple of days into month 7 … or month 2 for the 2nd surgery ! According to the growth charts I should see another significant boost with the 1st op and if all goes the same as last time, I should see some early growth for the 2nd! Fingers crossed ! Happy new year everyone ! 2022 is the first year in a long while that I will be entering with a head of my own hair.

Your hairline is gas made a great change to your appearance. At 7 months there is plenty of time for further improvements. You may or may not see early growth for the second surgery.
You can look at 2022 with a new positive outlook.
All the best.

Hey guys … so I’m closing in on 9 months for my first op and month 4 for the second …. My hair is getting longer and thicker every day… the 2nd transplant is starting to pop through now but you can’t tell on pictures yet… the crown usually takes a little longer to appear. So that being said I’m hoping to see less scalp by mid March early April time! This will be when I share some above shots of my head… for now here is a recent picture from the front

Hey man, firstly your hair is looking incredible. I’m considering Mwamba. Did you pay a VAT charge on top of the total number of grafts?

You`ve had great growth from the first surgery. This second one I’d agree with you, by April I believe the crown will have had quite a bit of growth.

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been AWOL, life has been busy and I wanted to wait for op 2 to start showing, anyway ! it’s been 4 months since my second surgery and 10 months from first. I am really happy with how thick the front looks and how the back is progressing, starting to see hairs everywhere, I can feel all the little hairs poking through now… I’d say another couple months and the crown will be looking great! It supposedly takes a little longer for crown hairs to grow. Here’s a before and after ! As mentioned before… I did suffer some shedding after op two, so plenty of native hair will also re appear !

It looks to be well on the way to fully recovering from the shed. It’s good news that you can feel the new stubbles in the crown. A couple more months and I think you’ll be seeing good growth.
Thanks for the update.

Hey Guys, here is an update on the third planned surgery with Dr Mwamba and third Mesotherapy PRP treatment. This time we added 1.200 grafts to the entire frontal third of my scalp. I decided to shave as my crown is starting to see growth, and I wanted to match it with the front. After shaving and inspecting the hairline with a proscope I was surprised to see that we had almost 98% of regrowth and survival which I think is quite high for FUE (I was expecting between 90%-95%). Surgery was easier than last time as we used less grafts so it was shorter time in the chair, also recovery was super fast! and my donor area is looking great. I am hoping to update you guys on a monthly basis once regrowth begins, it should look super thick hopefully

I didn’t think you’d need further surgery in the frontal third as your density looked good on your pictures. The change in appearance is phenomenal from your before picture to just before this third surgery. The work looks nice and clean from this latest one.
Here is a before and after.
