The difference from the before and after photos is tremendous especially considering how much scar tissue seems to be in the recipient area. Most patients unless their are repair ones and have been through all the crap do not realize just how much it is to look natural again.

I like the story about the concealer at the airport and whilst my stories are not as good as that one I can relate to what it is like wearing concealer. I went through a few years ago of wearing it in my crown nearly all the time. I was single and dating at that time and used to wear it on dates of course but I was always paranoid about spending the night in the early stages of a relationship especially about getting it on pillow cases. I would end up having to get as much of it out just before going to bed using some toilet paper in the bathroom and flip the pillow over in the morning!

Then you have the problem of what you look like in the morning without it in. That said it can work wonders and I won a competition on the old incarnation of this forum for the best Nanogen result. They gave me around 6 canisters of it which was what caused me to start using it all of the time.

Dear Topcat,

How many grafts have you had put in from BHR now in total. I must say i like your steady approach and think you look a lot better now than before. What is the longest length you have grown your beard hairs to.

Hi Risingforehead, with this last procedure I believe the correct total is 2690. A good percentage being one haired grafts but still a huge improvement for me. I'm assuming you mean the length of beard hair on the scalp which I guess is about 1 1/2 inches or about 4-5 cm.

thanks bm a total of 4 surgeries. Everything has healed perfect no redness at all as far as procedure itself.
I do have a little redness just below the hairline but that is due to rubbing off any concealer with a tissue. I don't spray it near the hairline but when I run a comb through it some residue falls into that area.

Take care.

It takes 20 years to become really good at anything. To master a skill and know it like the back of your hand. Thousands upon thousands of repetitions over and over, day after day, year after year.To make what is very difficult look very easy.

I'm using the concealer as an example as I have used it well over 20 years out of having not much of a choice but obviously spraying on concealer is not much of a skill, kind of making a joke of it .....ha ha .................sorry you didn't get it ;)

No, I meant it's a good thing to have such skills. You can and you will be forced to use such skills even after a total of 10 bht surgeries.

Oh..............lol..............I thought you were trying to bust my balls............lol...........
Yes I agree I have no choice at this point and the best that accomplished is something better than what I started with but by no means a complete repair. Huge improvement though, makes getting on with my day much easier and using much less concealer is a blessing.

How about your normal scalp hair donor area? If already used in the past for HT's, where are these transplanted hairs?

Sure that's a good question. Basically it comes down to doctors that really didn't know what they were doing nor how to logically solve a problem by understanding all the consequences beforehand. I always assumed doctors knew what they were doing, I was wrong.

The original 4 mm plugs were removed by consistent transection of the hairs in the hairline and behind it by continually planting in the same space. In my opinion it was a combination of a tremendous amount of transecting of hairs along with transplanted hairs that just lost their viability as the phrase donor dominance sometimes only applies if one is using medication at least to some extent. So I was left with only a very sparse hairline with the balding process continuing which left me with nothing behind that hairline.

If these same doctors would have done the right thing which would have been to tell me about Limmer who was the only doctor doing cutting edge work at the time then I could have been saved from most of this, but than they would not have made any money, so they did what was best for themselves.

The same goes on today. No one it going to tell you to go to the other guy who is better because they don't make any money. The only advantage today is that information is more readily available it's just trying to figure who is being truthful and who is telling a lie that becomes the hard part.

I would imagine many don't like my postings similar to the Robber Baron's dislike for the muckrakers. The political institutions at the time made it impossible to to stamp them out and silence the muckrakers. The internet would be the equivalent to those same institutions so many should be grateful it came into existence.

4[sup]th[/sup] procedure 5 month update. I would definitely say the hair is starting to come in at this point. I judge this by the ease of ability to style my hair and the past 2 weeks have been very noticeable €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.hmmmm €¦ €¦ €¦much more hair there than before.

I would also like to note the crown area consists of extremely dense scar tissue from two hairlifts and one reduction. Dr. Bisanga did comment as he was making the recipient sites that it didn €™t look too good as there wasn €™t any bleeding. Either way would have been okay with me still wanted to give it a shot. Happy to say there definitely are hairs growing in that area. Any doctors observing my case might want to take note that this hair is growing in extensive scar tissue without the aid of any outside agents and this is at only 5 months.
