Hi all ,
I want to give an 8 week recovery update.

Recovery is going really well and I’m starting to see a lot of pimples and some signs of early graft growth.
The hair on one side of my donor is taking some time to catch up but I can see it’s improving when I look back at previous updates.
As the weeks are passing I'm feeling more and more confident and very happy I chose to travel to Turkey for my procedure with Doctor Bicer. Looking forward to hitting to the 3 month mark and will update when I do.

Your left side donor does look thinner right now, it will catch up over the next few months. Your scar looks pretty well concealed already and it`s great if you`re having some early signs of growth.
Thanks For the update.

3 month recovery update.
Donor is almost fully recovered now. Everything is starting to look thicker and I’m hopefully heading into the growth phase.
If I look close enough I can see some stubble poking through but I think most of the hairs are still in the resting phase. Still yet to see a barber due to COVID lockdown so looking forward to a proper haircut.

Hi mate Nice Progress is coming along nicely. Just wondered if you had the motorised punch or manual punch because I know the prices vary between them. How was Dr BIcer Experience as a whole and how was your treated? Was it clean and professional And would you recommend it to anyone else going there? Reason I ask is cos I booked for eugenix India now with dr arika bansal but dr bicer was my other choice.

Hi, yes I had the motorised punch. My experience with Doctor Bicer and her team was excellent. The clinic was first class, very clean and professional. The patient coordinator Ozen makes sure your trip is very smooth and is always in contact with you throughout the whole process. Doctor Bicer even did a video call with me when I was back home during my recovery.
I would fully recommend travelling to Turkey to see Doctor Bicer, her patient results speak for themselves.

So was the price 1.50€ per graft or 1.25€ per graft? Did u stay at her facility across the road? Be good to see how your results looks in the coming months very interested ;)

It’s was 1.3euro per graft. I was told I’d need 3000 grafts but if she could take more it would be no extra cost. I got an extra 200 grafts for free. There are 2 hotel choices if you choose to book through the clinic, the hotel is extra cost.
One is a 5 star across the street which I stayed at. You can see the clinic out the window (see photo of clinic). The other hotel is cheaper and a short walk away.

Ok cool. Just wondered why manual punch is 2.5 and motor is 1.3?? Is this because it would take a lot longer for manual extraction?? Also the transection rate with manual/motor are they the Similar? And are survival rates Similar in both procedures??

I know what you’re saying tho cos I had a video call with them to and got a really good feeling about her clinic and her in particular. I half wish I hadn’t paid £500 deposit now at eugenix and went there, kind of annoying

I hear manual takes much longer and is more labour intensive for the surgeon. I believe it is better used for smaller procedures unless you plan on spreading your procedure over 2 days.
If you need a large amount of grafts micromotor is better. I had micromotor and for 3200 grafts the procedure took all day. I arrived about 8am and didn’t leave the clinic until after 7pm.
Doctor Bicer is very experienced in both procedures and will advise on what is best for your needs. I needed a large amount of grafts so micromotor was better for me.
I can’t answer your question about survival rate , that’s one for the surgeons.

My advice would be to do plenty of research and go with the clinic that your gut is telling you is the right choice.
Don’t let the £500 deposit that you have paid rule your decision. I had a bad experience for my first procedure in the U.K. and it was mainly because I let the price decide for me. I went for the cheaper option even when my gut was telling me it didnt feel right. It ended up costing me thousands for a repair procedure. My opinion is Doctor Bicer is a very safe option, but you need to decide who feels right for you .

Good to hear your donor has almost fully recovered. It does look as though you`re having growth along the hairline which is good news for you. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer to wait for your haircut.

Thanks for the update.

I am also about to book with Bicer. Started well now communication has been harder not sure why. Question. I heard her clinic says for the first three days nothing goes on the head. Other clinics say first three days a solvin solution so you don’t get scabs and faster healing. What was your experience with her? also how was the trip back? Where you able to have hat to conceal? I have an 11 hour flight back home.

Hi, good choice booking with Doctor Bicer. I understand clinics have different protocols for the healing process. I would advise you to follow Doctor Bicer’s instructions. I followed what she told me and my healing process went very well (see attached photos). If I didn’t have a scar from a previous procedure, it would have been hard to tell id had a procedure after about 8 days.
You will be provided with a hat to wear for the trip home , it’s looks a little funny but in my opinion it’s better than having your scabby swollen head on show. I was very nervous about the trip home but once I arrived at the airport I was fine. There are lots of other guys walking about with their heads on show, covered in blood and scabs. I left the hat on for the whole trip home , only had to remove twice for a couple of minutes at security checks.

Thank you so much for this info. Very helpful and agreed have to follow the recommendations of the expert in after care. I will be getting it on April 16.

No problem , I understand how much of a big deal it is making the decision to go for it. You are in safe hands, I had a great experience with Doctor Bicer’s clinic. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask , if I can I will try and answer.

A quick 4 month recovery update (Ozlem Bicer).
Things are really starting to look good now. Really happy so far and excited to see how things will progress over the next 4-6 months.
My hair is styled in the picture using minoxidil mouse and hair spray , no fibres.

Great result mate, glad it’s going well. At what stage did you start using minoxidil ? Are you using finasteride too ? Cheers
