Hi all.

I posted on here last year sometime when I was considering having a HT.
I finally went for it and on February 9th I had my first ever FUT hair transplant with Dr Bisanga in Brussels.

My overall experience was good, everyone at the clinic was lovely. I was very nervous on the day and they were understanding and made it bearable for me and in the end the whole procedure was rather straight forward and painless, even the injections.;)

The forums were helpful and were an important part in my decision making when having a HT so I will post my pictures with updates to help others who are considering having a HT.

any questions feel free to comment or message me. hopefully i've uploaded the pictures correctly...

Hi Rec, how are you doing now as your native hair should be giving you some coverage now, hows your donor scar looking.

Cheers Bm.

Sorry about the lack of updates- Its been about 13 weeks now and both the donor and recipient area are healing nicely and I am beginning to see the signs of new hairs coming through which is exciting. Both areas are still a bit red but there is no pain or tightness any more, just the occasional itch. I am applying aloe vera to both on a daily basis which I think is helping.

I was originally concerned that the native hair at the front wasn't going to hold out and that it may look out of place but it has thickened up this last month and hopefully it continues to improve.
I will update with pictures shortly....

it looks wide in areas I agree but the width does change all the way around, it wasn't a great picture. hopefully once the hairs begin to grow in the scar and the redness dies down it might look betterc;;9

Hi Modenese

The patient as such hasn't mentioned a problem with the scar. We have asked for more photos and in different areas of the strip also to clarify, but there is evident redness there still, although a lot better than the previous update and possibly some shock loss evident.

The patient has very fine haired and light skinned also so factors to take into account as the redness will be far more evident and can take a longer time to subside and when parting the hair in different areas then skin will also be more evident than other hair types.

We will as said get more photos and also see the patient in the flesh to see how the closure healed in its entirety around the scalp and will do so after 12 months.

There will be a gradual improvement in the redness and this takes time as said and more so on lighter skins and will help when normalised.

We will see the patient in the flesh and see as the entire closure throughout the scalp.

The Strip was not a big one in terms of numbers and not agressive so there were no closure problems evident or reported.

The patieht will try to get as many photos as possible but seeing him personally with the doctor is the ideal and then look from there.

The growth indeed looks good at this stage and still some more to come but mostly maturity more than growth is now the factor, but would not be suprised if more growth came at 11 months.
