Hairdryer heat!

Hello,

This morning while I was drying my hair, unfortunately I experienced a burn in my transplanted area. It felt hot for few minutes and a bit red, but this disappeared shortly after. So I wouldn’t say it was something traumatic or anything, it was just a ‘normal’ burn with no permanent visible damage - the sort that usually happens to everyone every now and then.

So, my question, even though it was a short episode with relatively minimum heat burn, do you think that might have damaged some hair follicles or damaged potential hair growth? (Still 3 months post operation).

Yeah I'd say your being paranoid dude but we are all guilty of that....you will be fine mate your recipient is totally healed and fine now and no need to treat with kid gloves at 3 months post op pal.....good question though bud.

Yep, as bullitnut says, at three months you're so far down the road and completely healed so I'm sure you've absolutely nothing to worry about. I get your concern as you want to protect those precious grafts but you should be fine.

Your grafts should be fine, they are safely buried at 3 months.
