Thanks @Bigmac yep im sure the extra grafts will complete my final result. I will give the clinic a nudge on the pictures they took after the surgery, it was the weekend when I asked them last time so maybe it’s just slipped there minds. When Dr Arshad drew the hair line he drew it just behind as to leave the singles at the front and add density from there backwards. Thank you for the compliments on my donor condition, it’s nice to know everything looks good. The clinic did comment on this aswell this morning when I sent them before and after hair wash pics. They said I have healed well which is always good to know.

Thanks for clarifying about the hairline and placement was behind. Will you be sporting a crazy forward frontal combover or buzzing it down once healed?

Buzzing it down once healed. It’s just not long enough to pull forward. But having a hair line now a days doesn’t bother me to much in having a buzz cut just for a time while it grows out

Yes, you’ve been there and done it once. This time post op should be pretty easy and it’s a lot less grafts.

11 days in now and healing well just a little red still but I remember this lasted a while with my first HT. No shedding as of yet. Just a few crusts left which I think will come off with tomorrows wash. Density looks and feels good. Can’t wait for this to start growing out. Also went to see my barber to see if he could cut my longer hair down as I think it looked worse than just having it short all over. He just used scissors and only cut the top part.

Healing looks to be going well. Who knows, maybe you won`t shed the grafts with the change in surgery protocol, incisions first, then grafts placed with a shorter time outside the scalp.
The trim has tidied up your hair, it looks good.

2 weeks since my procedure and I’ve really healed quickly this time. Can’t wait for this to start growing out. Density seems really good in what were the thinner areas before my top up.

Thanks Sommiya. I’m sure once this starts growing out the result is going to be stellar!!! You, Dr Arshad and the clinic have been very supportive from day one and I can’t thank you enough for that, it sure helps after a HT to know that support and advice is just a phone call or message away!!

You are very welcome @Baldingman23

We are always here to support all our patients - we acknowledge that in 2021 we have not got some of the highest standard of results that we know we are capable of and sometimes we have fallen short of the mark in terms of managing patient expectations however we have put measures in place to ensure that in 2022 we can demonstrate those earlier stellar results that put us on the map in the first place. I'm looking forward to seeing your journey over the coming months.

Regards
Sommiya

That looks really encouraging @Baldingman23 I'll be keeping an eye on to see how it turns out, I'm sure it will be great. I popped in to see them this week and yes the service from them is absolute class.

Can’t see much with the picture quality. Are the grafts shedding?

17 days post top up

Here are some pictures I took today which are better quality and with a bright light point towards me and from above. I don’t think any shedding has happened yet.

Healing looks to be going well. There doesn’t seem to be much redness. We will see if the grafts continue to grow.

Yes redness is a lot less this time than last. I was given 2 different bottles from Dr Arshad to spray on my head this time and to alternate between the 2 solutions. I even set my alarm during the night to wake up several times and spray the graphs to keep them moist. Maybe this has helped the redness this time round

Regular post op spraying does help a lot with reducing scabbing and often with redness. It can be tiresome waking throughout the night to spray but most seem to benefit.

My trick first time round was to drink LOTS! I then naturally got up in the night to use the bathroom and give a mid-night spray. Staying well hydrated is always recommended post (any) surgery.

Glad all is going well!

4 weeks post op today. Things seem to be good, I’ve had some shedding and I can start seeing hairs coming through which is a great sign.
