Month 8

The hairline continues to thicken and after a haircut yesterday I thought I would try a new hair style out, feedback is welcome.

looking good, the front hairline looks so thick, and your sides and back are cut pretty short, what guard on a razor would you say it is?, overall A result.i looked at where you started and where you are now and its impressive, your giving jotronic a run for best repair on HnW, ;),just kidding .both of you guys had a great transformation

Thanks very much sad but true,as for the length of my hair I have always asked for a scissor cut rather than asking for a grade so and so. My hair is around 2cm so a 6-7 grade. It was cut shorter last month but then I start to run into issues with old scars starting to show through. I would of course like to have the option to wear it a little shorter but as far as I have come I will take it.

Jotronic has had a great result from Dr Wong he has still had more grafts than me and our backgrounds are the same ie Norwood 6 previous mini and micro grafts in the 90's but in terms of bone structure, head shape and hair characteristics we are quite different. I am however determined to get a better result than him ;)

Here's a before my repair with Dr Hasson in 2006 after 3 surgeries to now.

That's impressive to be able to have your sides and back cut to 6 or 7 grade, with 6 surgeries in total. you had 3 procedures with HnW ,and 3 with another doc, have you ever tried to wear your hair in a ceaser style. your current style looks great,,thanks for responding,

You've come a long way to get to this stage, it's looking great, very natural hairline.
People will never know you've had any work done, I like the hairstyle with your hairline exposed, suits you and makes you younger looking having a good stule.
Thanks for the update.
Bm.

Thanks for the comment Big Mac looking back at the photos yes it does make me look younger which can't be a bad thing.

Sad but true- Yes 3 surgeries in the 90's and 2 transplants with Dr Hasson and a scar revision which yielded around 300 grafts which were placed into the hairline, maybe 5 transplants might be more accurate. I could wear my hair forward ceaser style but as my front is thicker than my crown brushing it back or across the crown gives better coverage with the right length of hair. If I brush it forward then the crown will look thinner.

Better late than never here is my 9 month photos from my latest hair transplant with Dr Hasson for 1755 grafts to the frontal half of my scalp. The difference is clear to myself as I look in the mirror and I am very glad that I took Dr Hasson's advice to deal with the front rather than the crown. In terms of healing my scalp after five FUT sessions feels normal again and I am still able to cut my hair to a reasonable length. I could never go down to a grade 3 or 4 because of my previous scars but I am happy with the length I can wear it at the back and sides.

There still remains a sweet spot in terms of length of the top and it seems better to wear it shorter than I used to as the density is better at the front I don't need the length to make it look fuller. Also where the crown is thinner it is easier to keep it shorter and it lays flatter on my scalp.

I have had several comments about how helpful it is to see photos month by month from the same angle next to each other so it is easy to compare the progress month on month so I made these 3 photos so it would be even easier to compare.

It demonstrates how taking consistent photos under the same lighting, same room and conditions is the best way to clearly document your progress.
