A photo my daughter took this weekend in the sun unaware. The hair looks a little thinner in real lighting.

Photo 5/5

I m now at my 5 month post op stage and thought I d update my photos. I m still happy with how things have progressed for me. I ve been growing my hair for the last couple of months having always had it shaved down short for the last 5 years or so, so that feels strange. I am hoping for a bit more of the mid to front scalp filling in. From the front I look ok but if I put my head down you can see through it quite a bit. I know most of the transplanted hairs made up the front part and that is really thick but I would really have like to see more behind the front band of hair. But I guess that s the reason they said originally that I would need to have two transplants for full coverage.
Anyway so far so good.

Just had my first haircut at a barbers for about 5 years, having buzzed it myself. I ve been growing it long ever since the end of April and thought it was about time. I couldn t be happier with it at the mo.

Hi Grooster.
Its looking great so far, the new hairline frames your face and totally transforms your appearance.
I bet it felt so good sitting there having that haircut for the first time in 5 years. Were you grinning away like a Cheshire cat?
All the best.
Bm.

Thanks for the comments Bigmac. Yeah, you re right. Im so happy with my hair at the moment, Im still pinching myself. It was a strange experience going to the hairdressers for the first time in God knows how long. The hardest part of it, is trying to work out what hairstyle I want, I still dont know. I can t work out if having it shorter or longest is the best way to go. But yes, so far i'm more than happy.

I m now at my 7 month post op stage and I think most of the growing has happened now.It has thickened up in the frontal part over the last month or so. I m not expecting much more from here on.I have to say I m still really happy with my new look.I m obviously still bald/thin in the areas that I didn t have worked on and hopefully early next year I ll get back to Budapest and have the job finished off.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
The post about you in the barbers got me thinking about the first time i went to the barbers following my HTs it's such a great feeling, i know none balding people will never inderstand but for a guy to have lost most of their hair and then have enough to need cutting by a barber is such a liberating feeling.
Truly happy for ya dude;)

Yeah, I went something like 5 years shaving my hair myself and probably the previous 5 years getting the barber to shave it down for me, so to be able to grow my hair long and actually have it styled is a major occasion in my life. I love it..

Just thought I d update my thread with my 8 month post op photos. The hair hasn t been cut for a few weeks and is due so it is a little more untidy than normal.
I m just toying with the idea of getting it cut shorter or carrying on growing it. I never thought I would ever say this but to have to brush it and style it every morning is hard work. Ha ha!!Nicer problems to have!!!!

A photo looking down from the top. It can be quite see through from above in the right light but this is hopefully where procedure no.2 will help.
