Looks very similar to Neograft machine, do you work for this company.

Well judging by the little chart that was put together promoting this device one would have to conclude that fue by manual punch is complete shit. Yet if we look at history and actual results by those skilled in using the hand punch the evidence that it is in fact superior is very hard to refute.

With that being said I would conclude that the chart is a lie and basing something on a lie would make this machine an absolute piece of shit.

What about you..................do you think it's any good?

Well...! honestly, I think mechanical forces while using tweezers may really damage the cells of FUs... The way we handle FUs are definitely not the best way. I agree to your point that manual punch has more control however it takes hell lot of time and probably automated FUE machines like neograft is becoming popular... long surgical time is another big headache...isn't it?
Have you used suction based FUE machines by any chance..?

What you think about?? the patients are now asking for FUEs and that too advanced tools. How do you propose to answer them...?

Sarak I €™m a firm believer in walking the walk and not so much in just talking the talk. I judge most of what I hear in regards to anything in actual results. People tend to inflate themselves in many ways but if they can show some type of result which confirms what they are stating then this is the real test.

The results for the last 10 years speak for themselves. A handful of highly skilled doctors who have put the time and effort in achieve the best results and it has not been with robotic systems or neograft type devices but with manual punches.

In fact no one that has these advanced skills with manual punches has opted to select something else which tends to convince me that it is in fact inferior confirming my observation on what the results were showing.

Many of those that have chosen these mechanized devices have in fact dissuaded young men in the past from fue not because it might have been a better option but because they in fact did not have the skill. So what they were doing along with the promoters was doing what was best for them to keep the money flowing and not what was best for the patient.

Some of these same outfits now want you to believe that fue with their mechanized systems is a good choice. The problem is they were telling lies before so that would become a big issue for me as far as credibility is concerned.

Regarding your question on how to offer the procedure to all the patients that are asking for it. You put in the effort and practice day in and day out. Maybe you practice on melons extracting 3000 grafts everyday for a couple of years. Some days extracting nonstop for maybe 16 hours until your fingers start bleeding to see how much you can endure. You do whatever it takes to not have to lie, cheat and steal. You become better then the next guy €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.it takes a little bit of time but it can be done.

Not everybody thinks that way. I mean in this industry you have something like FUE which was brought to market almost 20 years ago. It was called €œThe Woods Technique € by the doctor who started to perform it commercially. So what happened some guy comes along and decides he is going to call it FUE and now he believes he invented something by stringing some letters together. You see there is no honor in that, a real man would never do something like that but only a balless wonder in my opinion and that seems to be a big issue in this industry.

Even today as we all know this procedure to be FUE you have those that come along and string some different letters together and believe they have invented something. To me that is a giant red flag.............renaming something is not an invention.

You see Sarak I think what highly skilled doctors using manual punches were doing is they were putting in the work. While they were at the stoplight in their car they were doing extractions in their head, when they were eating at the dinner table, wherever they were that is what they were doing. Because that is what most people that are really good at anything do constantly work on their craft.

The other guys were hitting tiny white balls into small holes in their head and thinking about how they were going to convince a young guy strip was the better option when maybe it wasn €™t and many of the forums were working to do the same. You see in reality they saw all the golfers making even easier money so maybe they thought they wanted to be a golfer. This is what I believe to be true and you need the truth in order to make a better decision.

Go to a highly skilled doctor and not a golfer with his new machine.

Still there are questions that are unanswered...
Ah! I am not getting biased.. just asking myself right questions and trying to find answers...
1. Lets think what is good for the patient in a different way... As a surgeon we can practice for years on melons & endurance but a patient cant practice for years to sit for long hours.. so what I mean is we have to provide a faster service as expected by the patient.
2. hair transplant like any other surgeries is now evolving. I agree that robotic systems like Artas has a long way to go as far as the adoption is concerned. It may be the future.... The techniques are evolving from FUT > FUE > DHT based FUE > automated HT > Robotic>humanoids can do surgeries in future..ha ha.... I think FUT is surely outdated if I have to choose one technique and invest time to master the technique for my career.
3. What I understood from your reply.. .. Skill is the primary requirement which takes years to develop irrespective of tools.. So if I have to choose a technique to master I wont ever choose FUT as I am a firm believer of minimally invasive technique. When I can see a clear trend of technological advancement in FUE this is my choice... Next is what tools I should use considering I am a starter and there is so much competition around... patients always looking for skilled surgeons... etc... etc.. So question is shall I choose a technique where I am not convinced and choose the tool only on the manual punch or shall I choose something which is at least look convincing to me on theory and may be on practice I can master.
4. Leaders are not followers... I want to lead not follow... may be I can develop my own technique in future who knows !! :)
I want to look forward and not look back ward... that inspires me .. so....
And thanks for your advise and assure you .. I wont believe unless I see it... Its possible that I may not buy neograft or similar machines now.. but somehow I am not convinced with your reasoning...

I have never once heard or read a patient saying they would not consider the procedure because it takes too long. Their main concern seems to be the result so you might want to reconsider your need for speed.

Maybe a doctor muttering under his breath that he will be here all day at this slow pace but that's probably about it.

I like you positive attitude.....................those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

FUETOR...............I like the name............"I'll be back"

There was a lot of speculation that the first hand held motorised FUE tools were modelled from dental drills, this piece of equipment looks like a dental suction machine with the improvised hand held motorised drill. Maybe this is where Neograft got their idea from.

I'm back ;)

The drill idea goes back at least 30 years. I distinctly remember the sound when Puig fired that Black and Decker up. In fact that subject of anchors I find interesting especially when it comes to something like the sound of a song and how it can take you back to one moment in time which could very well be decades ago. Or maybe that smell.........maybe it was a perfume..............yeah I remember that.............lol.............

Something else that is interesting and you will hear among many repair patients. They knew at some moment right before the procedure started that they were in danger but they were frozen..............it's an odd phenomenon. I've learned to shoot first and ask questions later...............keeps one safe. But that moment that moment does become an anchor.

I remember one time I had a customer that walked in this is about 25 years ago or so. He had a tattoo running across his forehead. At first I thought it was a sweatband but it was a tattoo................I was frozen for a moment as I stared and then just shook it off as I didn't want to be rude. I always that that was odd.............why would someone do that. Sometimes bad hair transplant work receives the same kind of attention. I don't think it's on purpose it's just that maybe a person is frozen for a moment.

The real issue with these types of devices is now everyone thinks they are an artist and they are looking for some canvas.

Sarak when I was a kid building things like models etc was popular along with projects like painting by the numbers. All one needed to do was paint the right color in the right numbered spot and boom they were a Rembrandt and everyone would tell you how great it looked. Hair transplantation with these types of devices is almost the same and simply cannot be compared to someone that just knows naturally what to do with their hands.

I know exactly what to do when it comes to building something. I don €™t need a blueprint only a picture in my head and it just comes naturally but with painting a picture I need the numbered chart and it can never compare to an artist. Nobody will be harmed if I do decide to paint by the numbers so it doesn €™t matter I can €™t say the same about this device you seem to be promoting.

Hey Sarek I am being somewhat light hearted here and I €™m not sure if you get it. Sometimes posters come on to these forums and one is really not sure what they are up to and if there story is real. I usually go along with most of it but sometimes it €™s so obvious as in your case or at least it seems to be in my opinion. You post to 3-4 forums with the same questions trying to figure out if this device is any good etc but I believe maybe you are just trying to get the name out there promoting it and others might see the same thing.

Not a big deal I guess as I assume most young guys might catch on but then what if they don €™t. I have seen this device and it €™s no different than the Neograft and I can €™t say I have seen spectacular results over the years that is has been out. In fact I have seen some guys that have ended hacked up by inexperienced surgeons because they thought it was all so simple just get the machine.

Sarek my question to you is are you worried at all that promoting this device is offering up a second rate or possibly worse choice for young guys that might be desperate for surgery? Speaking from my own experience 30 years ago my head was completely disfigured and although I was panicked by the situation my mind was always focused on just trying to get it fixed whatever it took, maybe just the problem solver in me. But many of the young guys I have spoken to do not think the same way in fact many of them are so distraught and believe their life has been completely destroyed by having a hair transplant procedure that did not turn out well. Their thoughts are more in line with sticking a barrel of gun in their mouth and pulling the trigger. I know this is not a pleasant thought but this is the reality sometimes. Sarek, do you ever worry that maybe what you are doing might cause great harm to someone because maybe the advice is not the best advice to be giving?
