Sparky,
Actually, it is all the same patient in the video I posted.
All of Dr. Umars case videos are all the same patient from start to end.
Re-read his testimonial that I posted above.
He has before pics from before and after the z-plasty procedure performed by a plastic surgeon in the Bay area.
Maybe that's your confusion.
There are three videos of this patient over the course of his extensive repair on YouTube and Dr. Umar's website.
The hairline photo I posted is indeed a different patient.
This was to show the amazing softening effect with the proper use of nape hair on a transplanted hairline.
Yes, many strip clinics don't advise using nape hair because they are unable to put it to use using strip technique. Some have theories about it's longevity. Dr. Umar does his best to evaluate the quality of the nape hair from patient to patient. He does this to determine whether or not he believes the patient will retain his nape hair later in life. But all donor hair has the potential to thin out over the years. Some folks' head hair donor thins out, body and beard hair can thin out as well with age. This is one of the risks of any HT.
Some folks incorrectly predicted that my leg hair grafts wouldn't hold up over time. Well, it's been nearly 6 years and so far so good.
A few select docs can use nape, head, beard, chest, arm, leg, pubic, arm pit hair, etc. when options are limited and every follicle is precious. It's up to the doc and patient to decide where to pull hair from based on family history, age, etc.
Gotta work my day job.
Will return later.
P.S. zionaxel, I have no problem with the Pro Bono offer. Just a problem with the posting tactics of one of the winners. Any clinic offering to help fix people for free, even with the potential for good PR, is fine by me so long as things are on the up and up. I like that we got to vote for the "winner". That was an excellent idea.
