Hello everyone, just want to give an update on my plans with my HT. I joined the forums a few years ago. Started Propecia and Rogaine foam. Had a consult with SMG, I wanted to give meds a chance to work to stabilize the hair loss, nw5a, with mid scalp hair that I comb forward, I use gel to keep it in place, not a good look, my hair loss has stabilized with slight regrowth.
The only difference in my hair is that I have more white hair, I had to put my issues with hair on the back burner, because of my dad's heart attack, his failing health and ultimately his passing. Six months later my mom is told she has stage 4 lung cancer, I was my moms caretaker. For two years my mom fought her battle with cancer but lost the battle this past September, 7 months later, I'm still mourning her loss.
I feel now is the time to start the process to address my hair loss which has bothered me for a very long time, my goals are modest, I want to address the front half with between 2500 to 3000 grafts, restoring the hairline, framing my face and be able to comb my hair in a ceaser style. Achieving this will be a huge boost for me, my top 3 clinics are SMG, Dr. Cooley and Dr. Konoir for a FUT procedure. I plan to have consults with all three, once I choose a clinic I plan to visit the clinic, meet the doctor, have a PRP session this summer and then have an HT in the Fall. My main issues are growth rates, good scar and shock loss of hair.
