Sex after hair transplant

Dear colleagues,
I would like to ask you about how safe it is performing sexual intercourse or another kind of sexual activity ( including masturbation) after hair transplant.
In my Dr's post operative instructions I had that after 3 days it would be safe to perform sex. I did intercourse on my 10th, 11th and 12th post op. But now I am concerned because i had like a strange "sweating sensation" on my scalp just after, even when I was not sweating, because I took it very easily with a lot of precaution...I also saw some other Clinics recommend 14 days post op which makes me even more concerned.
Which are the real reasons to avoid such activities after hair surgery?, because I read four different things: increased of high blood pressure, deprivation of enough blood supply in skin and scalp, stretching donor, profuse sweating.
Any comments and experiences will be much appreciated. I hope I did not ruin my project of getting more shadow in my head.
Many thanks and best regrowth to anyone!.

Personally I think you are over reacting which is probably very normal. I don't think you have anything to worry about, try not to over think it too much.

You will be fine, its anything strenuous that you`re not suppose to do, you waiting long enough and took it easy as you say.

Sex is not a problem providing it's not too strenuous.

According to a study by Dr Bernstein, transplanted hairs are permanent by day 10.

So even if someone gets a little excited and touches your hair you should be good to go.

Depends on the sex)(_::and how rough people are (there goes my dirty mind) you should be ok at ten days providing your not lifting her up.

The first 24 hours post-op are the more crusial for the grafts since any type of blood pressure rising activity (including any type of sexual activity)can push them out of place and may lead to no hair growth.

The first three post-op days we would not like to traumatize the recipient skin in any way (like during sexual activity with the sheets etc)or increase the redness and the post-operative skin edema by any kind of local irritation provoked by environmental factors. We also want to keep the recipient skin as clean as possible.

In conclusion, sexual activity if done safely is allowed after the first three days and the patient is free to do whatever he wants sexually in 10 days since then the grafts are secured in the recipient skin through re- vascularization.
