Transplanted hair not absorbing hair dye... any ideas?

I received a hair transplant from Doctor Serkan Aygin last November and for the most part I'm really pleased with it. I was a solid Norwood 3 and losing ground quite quickly. In terms of density, from around the four month mark I could get a haircut that really worked with the transplanted hair. And around the eight month mark it fully knitted with my hair. I have a few greys coming in so from around 6 months I started to use Just For Men blonde which is more like a dark blonde/light brown, identical to my natural hair colour.

I noticed that the transplanted hair was coming in a bit darker, which I read is normal. They were also more grey than the surrounding hair because the back and sides were greying before the top. About 6 weeks ago I noticed that the front hairs were getting much more grey and were not taking the hair dye as before. I've tried multiple different dyes and nothing really takes, a few odd hairs take on a purplish colour, while the rest of my hair takes the dye no problem.

The photo with the blue and white shirt was in June, when I had no issues with the transplanted area absorbing dye. The other photos are from today, after attempting twice to dye my hair.

Does anyone have any insight into why the new hair just is refusing to absorb dye? I've asked the clinic that did the procedure and their barber wasn't really able to help much. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Try dyeing your hair when you have not washed it for 2 days, may help.

Spray your hair with hairspray and dry with hairdryer. Repeat 3 or 4 times. Brush out and your hair should be more coarser.

Above are 2 tips for hair dye not taking too thin hair (hair miniaturised) so may not be helpful for you.

Thanks. It might be helpful, as even though the transplanted hairs are at 11 months, they're still a bit finer than a normal hair.
