I've just noticed this post - it was me that complained and got the ad pulled, never realised it made the papers though.
Was sick of this company falsly raising vulnerable people's hopes with misleading advertising.

I'm following a thread from a very long time repair patient on another forum who after 8+ years has revealed some truths. The problem with that is what about all the patients that didn't get that information over that time period...............kind of sucks for them.

True, there's a lot of money and emotion invested to go through what we've gone through. It's made even more difficult by having to avoid all the scammers and making sure you've absolutely done as much research as you possibly can.
You put your trust in these people and expect to be taken care of and told the truth about every aspect, even if it's not the news you want to hear.

They have previously been recommended on posts here. Would this change anyone's opinions of this clinic, or is it just poor marketing?

Sometimes it only takes one person to bring down a company and very often that is someone in marketing and it does not necessarily reflect the skill of the company/clinic but on their skill in hiring those with a similar mindset which should be honest and ethical so I would say one would have to give them the benefit of the doubt but of course do more research.
Not everyone has the ability to evaluate someone they hire in a short period of time effectively. I have seen it over and over in the restaurant business which depends on a complete team and not one individual. Sometimes it only takes one individual to bring down the team. My wife and I often have this conversation because we simply can t understand it. It becomes so hard to figure out. How can someone not see that a person would not be a good addition to the team?
Hair transplantation recommendations on forums are difficult to assess because much of it is done out of reciprocity so if the person reading that recommendation doesn t actually meet the person preferably in their home along with meeting their family and find out where they are coming from it becomes almost impossible to determine if this person has any integrity. It s not fool proof but a necessary step in my opinion.
Meet with forum owners, moderators, posters, and patients in their home and listen to what they have to say. Now take all that information put it all together and form and opinion using common sense and ideally with a second party present who is close to you and can give you an objective opinion minus any emotion that might come into play. That is a very safe approach that requires work and if one understood that very often there are no second chances with this procedure and those that fail to return with their results now understand that but unfortunately it often too late.
You have to be able to attach a feeling to that point very often there are no second chances and without actually experiencing it that becomes very difficult to feel and mistakes are easily made.

I've heard some not so great things about Ziering in the past, and this is the icing on the cake. I particularly loved the way they tried to sidestep the issue and justify it by basically saying, "Well, they weren't actual customers -but those are the kinds of results our actual customers see." Yeah. Right.

I've recently had a procedure with Ziering and couldn't praise them enough. I know the advert might of not been the best, but that's the advertising part of the company's fault, not the Doctors and staff that they have are great, kind and caring.
