I mean, won't your transplanted hair suffer if you stop?
Have you looked for another doctor in Portugal?

Thanks for the attention
If your transplanted hair were extracted from non-safe zone then yes, they can potentially miniaturise as well. Finasteride is recommended not to prevent Hair Transplant from miniaturising, but rather to keep as many native hairs as possible. HT Is just an illusion of density, thus you need to have as many of your native hair as possible to get the overall decent look.

I didn't hear of any other good Portuguese doctor to be honest.

Just made a picture of wet hair to see how it looks like (mainly done to see my crown) and was surprised as to how good it looks while wet.

Btw does anyone in here been on Oral Minoxidil? I've been on Fin for almost a year now and looks like I've got a lots of miniaturised hairs in my mid and crown that doesn't want to grow. Have been on regular minoxidil before surgery and not sure if I had a lot of success with it.

That’s looking great dude, just watched some of your videos. You look to be doing very well already!
How does it look without bringing forward your hair from the back to add to it?
I.e. How does the density look on the transplanted hair alone?

My hair is not really long as it might seem in this pictures :D Whatever you see in transplanted area is all only transplanted hair.
You can check out my previous update where I did close-ups. You can clearly see the length and how each area of my scalp looks like from different angles as well as light conditions.

5 Months

The barbers opened up on Saturday! So I thought, It's 5 months after my FUE, why not to try out a skin fade and see how my scars looking like? Normally I won't go for this hairstyle, but I got inspired after seeing countless of posts asking how scars are looking like with shaved head.
Here you go my friends, my contribution. I know ideally skin fade could have been higher, but that's what my barber did
:D

In this video you will find:
- Skin Fade experiment
- Visual outcome in different light conditions
- Hairline Close-up under direct sunlight & indoors

Any questions - hit me up!

Looking good Rolandas
Thanks man! I hope the community will find this little "experiment" useful as some people already told me this is exactly what they've been looking for for quite some time now.

Week 24 (5.5 months)

In the last few weeks I had interesting feeling in my hair. Either it got thicker, longer or more hair grown.
I am able to style it now in a few ways and it looks pretty decent, especially being indoors.

I didn't talk about my donor area as I believe It healed fully already. If you're curious - look for my previous update where I did a low skin fade.

At this point I wouldn't mind for it to stop growing and I would consider it a success for myself as I was literally bald in there before!
But according to this chart, I'm only at 35%? What do you think? To me it looks like I'm at 70-80%!

Month 6
Gentlemen, 6 months is a huge milestone (at least for me!). I am extremely excited to share with you my latest update.
If someone would tell me I will have my hairline back in just 6 months I would never believe it. My expectations never been super high as I understand severity of my MPB as well as limitations of my hair characteristics. Although I must admit, if what I have right now would be my end-result I would consider it as a success.

Thanks a lot for your support guys. It's been really emotional time, and hopefully next 6 months would bring just pleasure! :D

What an improvement! Keep the good work!

When you or the dr. bruno think we will have a cure or a cure for the early stages? It's a good topic for a video I think

To be honest I'm not interested much in speculations of "when we will have a cure" etc. Not sure about Dr. Ferreira.
My understanding - do what you can NOW. Don't wait for miracle, your hair loss will get worse.

Ok chaps, I've been pushing further and further my update due to poor weather conditions (I'm used to showcase my result under direct sun light), but seems like it didn't happen!
In this video:
  • Close-ups with different light condition
  • More information on complications of my surgery
  • Analysis of why I think end result should look promising

As always, any questions hit me up!

Hi Rolandas.

I’ve been following your thread for a while and have just signed up for an account here. First of all congrats on your progress - looks like you’re at that stage where you can safely say the transplant has been a success but you can now sit back and watch your hair get thicker and denser. I’m considering going for a transplant with Dr Ferreira too and have received a consultation assessment from him. I was hoping you could help with a few queries....

Would you still go for a transplant with Dr Ferreira with hindsight or would you have gone elsewhere?

I read you were initially considering ASMED which is also one of my top options, what made you decide against ASMED? Some of their results look brilliant

I’m really worried about shock loss. Did you have much experience with shock loss?

Where did you find pictures of Dr Ferreira’s results? I can only find three before and after photos on his website.

Why does popping happen during a transplant?

Thanks for continuing to post your results and analysis. It helps lots more people than you might think including all the hidden lurkers who read but don’t post lol!

happy growing.
