Ha-ha, sounds like you've definitely got away from it. I would have no idea from the latest picture either!

Did you stay in a hotel near the clinic? I assume we aren't allowed to drive after the operation (I live 4 hours away).
Yep I stayed in the holiday inn about 10 mins away The night before. My dad came with me so he drove me home the same day which was about 4 hours to, I live in Norfolk

Every day I get up and look in the mirror I feel so much better about my self even with this action man hair cut I have. IMO the money I paid for it and the way it’s made me feel about my self is so worth it very emotional sometimes. Waiting for the full results is just hard though lol

Lol, I also live in Norfolk (Spixworth)! That's quite funny. What time did your operation finish?

I previously went to University in Leeds so still have friends up there, I was thinking about staying at their house, but then I have the concerns about a bloody scalp and bed sheets/pillows etc - is this quite bad for the first night. I also wondered whether a hotel would be funny with me staying there with a bloody scalp - it could be I am worrying about nothing, I just don't know.

I'm really pleased it's had such a positive effect on you. I bet it's hard waiting, apparently after 7 or so months you may start seeing some results up to 18 months. It's a long wait but it's only going to get better (despite the shedding stage to come).

Wow what a small world!! You will sleep with a travel pillow for the first 5 nights, You need to buy one of them. I never had a bloody pillow or anything like that and the next morning everything was fine. In fact again I was surprised how well I felt after the procedure. Yep I’m not looking forward to the shedding stage but it’s gonna be worth it in the end

my operation was from 8am till 8:30pm I had nearly 4000 graphs how many graphs are you going for?

I've just booked at dewsbury for October and am having 4000 aswell so I'll be following your progress, looking good so far. For me having hair will take some getting used to, seeing as I started receding in 1984

I've been home from Dewsbury for about a hour, don't know whether I'm used to it yet, but I can't stop looking at it, even with the felt tip still on my head!!

Thanks for the advice, i'll be sure to buy a travel pillow.

I wanted around 4000 however he has some concerns over my donor area so has initially advised on 2500. I am sort of hoping this becomes a bit more once we have met face to face, but I completely appreciate and respect the need to protect the donor area. How are you finding the Finsteride as well?

So far so good on the Fin, I don’t think I’m having any side effects and my wife says it doesn’t seem to have affected my sex drive....... unfortunately lol.

Really appreciating these updates @Baldingman23, I'm only a couple days behind you so it's nice to know what is ahead of me. I also went to the Hair Dr and can't fault the service.
3rd wash today - yesterdays resulted in a solid amount of crusts and hair coming out. Trying not to freak out when I see that but it's hard! Have a lot of your grafted hairs fallen out now do you think? Cheers

Really impressive mate. I’m sure you’re going to get a lot of density and will be happy with the results. I had my procedure last Friday with Dr Arshad at the Hair Dr clinic too. Tomorrow’s my first day of washing the hair. I know everybody can shed differently/more than others. Tad worried about the shedding phase but it is fairly common isn’t it, so just have to be patient when that happens I guess! Cheers for the updates btw. It’s good following your progress.

When I washed my hair I had a few hairs come out and I started to freak out, I took a picture and sent it to Sommiya and she assured me it was all normal and not to panic. I’ve not started losing any hairs shedding wise yet. Glad my documenting is helping people. I’m so happy with everything so far.

I got the wife to take some more photos so I could see what’s going on up there (Day 16 since HT). I’m noticing at the front and crown there are a few gaps where the hair has obviously started shedding ready for the new hair to come through. I don’t think the pictures show much difference than the ones before but I thought I would share them anyway.

How's it all feeling, are you getting a bit down with the hairs starting to shed. What kind of density did they say you could expect. I know this is a bit like twenty questions, but I've got 87 days and counting so a bit nervous and exited at the same time.
Did they tell you how many grafts per cm the managed to do? Cheers in advance for the interrogation

To be honest I’m not getting down at all as I know the end result is going to be worth it. They never mentioned how many graphs per cm2 they were putting in but look at it in the mirror they are very packed in. From off the top of my head I had 2100 in the front, 700 in the crown and then the rest down the middle.

Someone did take a picture from behind in my recording studio yesterday and right above my head was a strip light and my head looked pretty bald which made me a bit sad but I know I’m going to have a great head of hair so just palmed it off

Keeping the faith is important, I bet the first person to have fue was well passed off. Your hairline looks good though and seeing it ithe mirror must make all the difference to your confidence, im going to be three and a half months behind you so hopefully your new hairs should be coming through when I have mine done.

Everything looks right on track. You've healed well and now just the wait for those lovely new hairs to start growing.

Got the wife to take some more photos and a few close ups aswell as it’s going to be 3 weeks since my HT tomorrow. Hopefully everything is going smoothly and it’s just a waiting game. The bit I hate is that my normal hair is growing faster than the transplanted hairs and obviously it’s not the most flattering look, but hopefully this will all be worth it in the end.

That's similar to what I'm seeing - I'll be 3 weeks on Tuesday and I think I've shed a large amount of my transplanted hairs now - looks just as thin as it did before now. Trying to forget it as I know it's part of the process but still hard to watch those hairs run down the drain after a wash!
