You could get SMP done if you want to continue to have short hair. Have you thought about leaving a google review for his clinic? You would at least be helping out people that are thinking of using him in the future.

I left a google review about a month ago but it is no longer there which I find odd.

the concern I have now is that the cost of this repair is now out of my price range and I may be stuck.

My hope was 2000 grafts and just removing some of the bad ones.

Now it’s 3000 or more grafts which I probably don’t have, removing bad angles and multi grafts, hairline raising or laser hair removal, SMP in donor area.

this has been entirely frustrating to me and a decision I wish I never would have made. I’d rather be bald at this point.

Well you could just shave if you would rather be bald, but as for getting more grafts you should wait till month 12 and determine what should be done from there. If I were you I would use oral min (5mg or less) or just use regular topical min then start using a derma roller. Stay on fin or if you want something stronger go on dutasteride.

I might need to get more grafts to add density the transplant he did on me (looking into Toronto for that), I might do a review on this forum to share my experience. I'm hoping he didn't over harvest on me but I haven't had a haircut in 3.5 months since my surgery, I'll probably shave the back and sides down to see if he did.

Hi Friend

Feeling your pain now but just slow down a bit and regroup all is not lost you got to look forward its tough but it will work out , you just need to find a Surgeon or Clinic who you can trust and has the track record and most of all can give you a plan of action. Stay with it Brother it takes courage coming on here sharing with us and remember your helping others more than your helping yourself by doing so. How many people will be reading this thinking I wont be going to that Doctor take it easy thank you again

Today is 4 months, seeing little to no growth currently, which is frustrating. The first three pics are as of today. The last pic is pre-surgery.

Still early days for growth but whatever happens you'll be in the chair again to fix this mess. It's very unfair that you have to endure this, then wait a year before having it fixed.

4 months is still early for growth, some don’t start until 6-7 months. Hopefully it improves soon and then in 12 months you are in a position to decide your next move.

7 month update. Concern about donor area is increasing. It looks worse that I did before the surgery.

It could be that you're experiencing a seasonal shed in that area. Keep taking pictures to see how it looks in 12 months.

How is it looking now as you`ll be around 10 months post op?

Awful, low density hair in every direction. Front hairline growing sideways. but honestly those are the least of my worries now.

I took finasteride and I was one of the unlucky ones who got destroyed by it.
I have been trying to battle back for a few months now since stopping it, but my body is just not accepting it.

I didn‘t know you decided to take Finasteride, sorry to hear you‘ve suffered side effects. How long did you take it and what problems are you having?
Sorry to hear your hair is still in a bad way.

My hair loss accelerated when I started taking finasteride. Clumps of hair falling out. I am basically bald now.
The sexual sides you’ve all heard about I have them.
Tremendous amount of brain fog at time and digestive problems.

I did go to another surgeon today and they think that only 300 or so grafts actually took. Unfortunately they are growing straight out of my head and they don’t think there is much that can be done because parts of my donor area were somehow over harvested.

Hello mate im in ur situation right now
Had 3 hair transplants and all I had was a receded hairline
Same issue
Badly angled
And bad scars
I'm also shopping around to get it fixed
But my trust has totally gone
A bad transplant is worse than being bald

Do you have some pictures showing what’s happening with your hair?
At 7 months your donor looked as though you’d be able to get more.
Did this new doctor say how many grafts they think you have left?

So sorry to hear what you are experiencing @ImJustAGuy

it’s unbelievable to me how these “surgeons” sleep at night

the good news is that there are surgeons out there who are just as good as these ones are bad and there is light at the end of the tunnel!

It is a small percentage who are affected by Finasteride. I`ve been ok with it and been using it since 2005, but it is down to each individual to make the decision. Doctors quite often leave experienced technicians working on the patient whilst they do other things. I don`t know what time frames each doctor will do this but in my experience, they come back after a short break to check on the progress and possibly start working on you again. Most clinics will use technicians to place the grafts.

"Fin scares me with all of the horror stories I have read. The surgeon and I talked about it but I’m still hesitant."

Please note that you are most likely thinking about oral Finasteride (pills).
Finasteride or Dutasteride can be prepared in liquid form and therefore remove the part that could potentially give side effects.

I believe many dedicated hair drs. have already switched to topical versions of Finasteride/Dutasteride, or are in the process of doing so.

At Prohairclinic we have made the switch about 2 years ago. Since than I have personally never heared of any side effect that is related with the sides that are possible with oral Fin.

And yes, we see the same kind of results in terms of hair rejuvination, so that is not an issue.

IMHO you will need a second follow up transplantation sometimes, but my personal advice is to start with hair rejuvination soon.

My final results. I have had to live with this for over a year. Dr Wisiorek who did my surgery is an ISHRS member and I have filed a complaint with them but so far no response. No response from the NYS medical board either. This entire thing is a joke.

I'm really sorry to see this. May I ask, did the doctor perform the procedure or was it one or two of his technicians? I'm specifically asking about the donor extraction. And do you know what tools were used, such as a Neograft or a robot?

Btw, just looked on the ISHRS website and he's not listed as a member. Did he tell you that he is?
