Advice on 2 year result.

Hoping to get some advice. I'm not happy with the FUE procedure I got on my hairline and frontal third a couple years ago. I raised concerns several times regarding density however was advised to wait.

Ive messaged the clinic twice again within the last week with no reply. Whilst I'm aware a successful result is not guaranteed, no significant amount of hair has been lost that I can see since the grafts were placed.

Has anyone ever had any luck getting a clinic to arrange a repair/additional procedure elsewhere or do it themselves?

I've attached a recent photo and one from shortly after surgery.

Could you add a pre op picture and the number of grafts you received?
It is down to a clinics own policy/discretion if they offer anything.

Hi, I've attached a pre op pic. I was told around 2300 grafts.

It looks as though they placed the grafts over your frontal half, spreading them out at a lower density. There doesn’t seem to be a change in density when they placed into your native hair, I could be wrong though.
What was agreed prior to surgery? Did they advise you on the density?

Thanks for the reply.
A conservative hairline was agreed, My main point is that it was to look as natural as possible, prioritising that over coverage. Once the grafts were placed and the surgeon returned, he said the temple areas were lower than he anticipated, which was quite concerning.

Have you more surgery pictures, any showing the extractions? The work looks clean and refined.
Possibly a picture from a few feet away showing your hairline in full.
It’s hard to see your temples in those pictures.

Here's a couple the day after the procedure. I don't have anything showing the extractions sorry.

The work looks decent enough.
From what I can make out of the transplanted growth it looks natural, just looks thin in your picture.
Did the clinic provide you with any data, graft breakdown and density placed?

No that I'm aware of, although I probably haven't asked to be fair. I'm just more frustrated with the final appearance and the lack of support. I can't find any information on guarantees etc on their website, not sure if its something there's a precedent for anyway in the industry. From my point of view, I was sold something I didn't receive, so either wanted it fixed or help to get it fixed elsewhere, but with the lack of response I'm at a loss what to do.

Is it possible you lost your native hair while the transplanted hair was growing? Your pictures do not show enough to comment on the growth.

There was no native hair left along the hairline to around 1 inch back, more at the temples, by the time I got the transplant done. Possibly thinning slightly more around the crown but fin has slowed this down greatly.

For a comparison comment I would have to see your hair at a similar length and same lighting to your before picture. The after picture is too close and under a light or bright sunlight.

Hi,
Here is a pre op and 2 year post op picture. The post op was taken outdoors but in shade. Hair loss had been stable on fin for a some time since I started taking it.
The nurses placing the grafts were being trained, I wasn't informed of this before or during the procedure though.

Comparing those I think your hair loss has continued. It is quite possible that some transplanted grafts have been lost with the onset of DHT.

You obviously have more hair, your hairline / temples are restored. Is it the thickness that bothers you? Does it look thicker when you have a longer hair style because the way it´s cut in your left picture can´t really say it is any style. Two years on it´s possible you have lost some of that central hair or it has at least thinned a little.

Yes purely the density that's the issue. The first photo I uploaded has longer hair, granted its not styled but when I use any sort of product it just clumps together and looks worse. If I use a lot of fibres I can almost get it looking acceptable, however fibres along the hairline usually looks fairly obvious.

Who was the Dr?

Have you got another longer hair pic but not so close up? Did you speak with the clinic while it was growing, was there a point you were ever happy with the density and look good for you?
