That is a big number of larger groupings that were placed. You have all the stress associated with fixing this, although you are on your way to correcting it. Best wishes.

Did the clinic ever provide you with an explanation why they placed this number of multi-grafts?

Not really, mostly the blame was on the technician. They just said they would extract them for free if I came back and place them behind the hairline.

Blame in what way?
Not much experience/training
No magnification
End of the day, the doctor should be examining the work, making sure it is correct. It is his responsibility and ultimately the blame is his.

By the looks of it on their Instagram page they do not use magnification during implantation, so I assume this was most likely the error.

Not using magnification is a common theme when multi-grafts are placed in the wrong area. Using decent loupes takes time for techs to get use to them. Even some of these magnifiers that people wear just aren’t good enough. If the grafts are sorted without magnification it’s easy to mix them up. I’ve looked at extracted grafts with the naked eye, then with the cheap magnifying glasses. Quite a few grafts that I thought were singles turned out to be doubles. Trebles are easier to see and you have trebles. Again, it’s the doctors fault for not checking the quality of the work.

Sounds like using the technician as a scapegoat.
