Thanks for posting an awesome bite-sized video.
What is Dr. Bisangas's stance if someone has an irregularity with the heart such as a murmur?

@Bully
Thanks for your message.

Based on each individuals personal health and family history, a medication that may be effective and appropriate for one person, may not be for another. If an individual may have irregularities with their heart beat, then any medication that may have any influence on the heart rate would likely not be an appropriate option.

That is why that we would suggest that as with any medication, you are advised to see your own GP/family doctor who will have the benefit of your medical history and can further advise you and answer your questions with regards to suitability and if there are any concerning side effects in your case. Based on their recommendations you can decide if it may be an option for you, your doctor can then list it on your medical history and if you do experience any side effects, he has knowledge to be able to advise you further.

Appreciate the answer, Raphael. Seeing your own GP can be a double edge sword because most do not believe hair loss is a problem which makes them hesitant to ok a medication that has possible sides for something that is not health related even though hair loss can have severe effects on self esteem.
However, Oral Minoxidil is but one option that Dr. Bisanga explains perfectly.

An interesting approach to using Oral Minoxidil 2 days a week and Finasteride the other 5. I`m glad Dr Bisanga mentions how medications are mixed together correctly and that when it`s a DIY job crushing those pills and mixing yourself it`s not going to be very effective.
It would be great if we could see some patients who've benefitted from Oral Minoxidil twice a week.

I completely understand your point and this is a concern for many patients. Providing studies and science can help to educate your doctor as oral minoxidil for hair loss is still an emerging treatment and it would appear that many family doctors have only recently opened up to the idea of finasteride.

@Bigmac
The protocol Dr. Bisanga spoke of was related to Finasteride Monday - Friday and then Dutasteride on weekends as opposed to minoxidil on weekends only.
Dr. Bisanga recommends oral minoxidil to be taken on a daily basis.
