Farjo in Manchester

Hi Everyone

After trawling through a few posts on the subject I have come to the conclusion that this maybe the best place to go especially as I am only 10 miles from Manchester. I hear people talking of going to Brussels but it's not pratical for me for a few reasons and need the best option in the UK.

I do have a few questions

1. Would the same level be performed in Manchester as in London as obviously there are different surgeons.

2. I have pretty much this hairline in this pic

At a brief estimate what sort of cost would this be to achieve the same results?

3. Is there a lot that can go wrong as although I would love my hair back I am not crying myself to sleep or anything, just a case of risk reward and I do hear of some horror stories.

4. Is there anything else I need to know or research before getting a consultation?

I am very new to this and an above question maybe naieve or stupid so bear with me

OK thanks last question is FUE or FUT the best way to go? I know this maybe a personal choice, but I am not familiar with either

It heavily depends upon your level of hairloss, donor density and hair thickness. This needs to be discussed with a doctor. When I met Dr Farjo he strongly pointed me to FUE and told me to look at Doctors in Belgium since at the time he did not perform large scale FUE. That was based upon famil history, age and hair density.

In general, the higher up the norwood scale you are the more likely it is that FUT is the way to go. Post some pictures to get more opinions. Obviously this is not a set rule.

It also depends upon how short post op you wan to go with your haircut. With an FUT you cannot really go below a grade 3.

Here is the pic Ben, although it's not perfect as I have just shaved my head. My hairline is hopefully noticeable although there is hair half way down my head it is thinner and will probably go in time

I read about your journey, what process did you go through, where are you at now and do you feel it was worth it.

You look to have aggresive hairloss dude but this may be emphasized by the shaved head a little. I would let Mick view your head in person if i were you.

If I were you I would go for a strip procedure, it all depends on your expectations and what you want to achieve.

Also if you go this route you may have a noticeable scar which will hider how you have your hair cut.

Take a look at Balody in the patient section, his loss looks similar to yours.
