Hi everybody, passed my five month mark on July 2nd, and coming up on six months on the 30th. I had planned on taking more (and better) pictures at six months, however right now everything looks the same as in the four month pictures. I'm still using Rogaine foam 5% once a day, so hopefully things will start moving!

Hello all, Sorry for another gap in reporting! I had my haircut on July 11th, and the lady who cuts my hair said "it's really filling in nice". I was much happier after my haircut, as you can really notice the change from pre-op. The 30th will be six full months and I'm getting another haircut on August 1st and promise to try and have my wife take some pics after. Joe from H and W had made a comment on the "sweet spot" as far as hair length, and after my hair cut, I agree. There is a "growth" chart posted on another site and according to it, at six months you are supposed to be at 60% growth...I believe I'm fairly close to that.

Glad you`re happy with your growth so far, everyone grows at different rates but 6 months is usually the norm to see quite a bit of growth.

Hi StaggerLee, Sorry for the delay in a response, however I have been in the hospital for ten days. I went in for a laparoscopic surgery for intestinal damage/disease back during my chemo in 1995, and it turned into a "hands in" surgery. I had posted here or on HLH that I would be visiting Shapiro Medical sometime in February or March for pictures and to have Dr. Ron evaluate my donor, laxity and scars for the possibility of one more procedure. I'm happy with my outcome, however I feel I could use a little work at the hair line and some small areas of the crown. The only area of real concern, is my scar on the right side. I, like you had previous scars. The scar from Dr. Ron is fine, however is above the older Chambers scar(s) and it makes it look larger.
I now have a much longer recovery time at home, but still plan on making the trip to SMG. Based on that visit, I will decide what I do as far as further work.

Glad to hear that you are satisfied with your procedure for the most part and that you are following up with Dr. Ron for your 1 year anniversary. I think I may end up in Dr. Ron's chair as well, I am having analysis paralysis!!

Thanks StaggerLee, Bullitnut and Dazzster, I have a longer recovery ahead and won't be able to return to work until after the first of the year.

StaggerLee, Not to sound like a paid poster or shill, but I would recommend Dr. Ron 100%. The entire experience was professional, all the staff fantastic and follow-up care and questions excellent. I well know the paralysis of fear, trust and second guessing. I can say I made the right choice, and I wouldn't even consider another procedure with Dr. Ron if I didn't.

Dazzster, Congrats on your latest procedure. Your result already is fantastic and now even more to come! Thanks again to both Bullitnut and yourself for documenting your journeys.
