Just booked my HT for July 2020 at The Hair Dr Clinic Drewsbury. (I will Document my progress here)

12 month update!!

Well I can’t believe it’s been 1 whole year since my HT. I recently moved house so lighting in my picture might be slightly different but I’ve taken pictures in 3 different bathrooms to try and show the results as well as going for a new hair style. Some of the pictures have a VO5 hair product on for styling purposes. I also have my 12 month consultation next week as Sommiya and Dr Arshad FaceTimed me last week to see my progress and ask how I felt my result was. It’s still slightly thinner on the right side but Dr Arshad assured me that they will inspect it next week and see what’s happening up there and promised me they will do what’s needed to sort the thinner area out. Really happy with the support the clinic have given me as well as the assurance they want me to be 100% happy with the result. Once again this has made me very pleased I picked The Hair Dr for my HT.

Congratulations on making it to 12 months, mate! I've just been looking at your pre-op photos for comparison and the change in your appearance has been awesome . Fantastic stuff and I hope you're feeling good about things going forward.

Appreciate you consistently posting your updates, too. You may well have made progress fairly late, but it's a reminder to all of us just how varied the rate of growth is and this has certainly helped me keep a clearer head as my own growth seems to have leveled off for now.

Today I travelled down to see Dr Arshad and Sommiya for my 1 year consultation. It was great to let the dr see my result in person and to get his professional opinion. Dr Arshad first combed through the donor area and was very happy with how it looked, he said there was know signs of scaring and even he would struggle to see if I’d had a HT or not. This was great news and he even said I’ve got plenty of donor left if I ever need another transplant later down the line. Again very happy to know I’ve got plenty of hair in reserve if need be.

Next we assessed the transplanted region both with the naked eye and through a microscope which allowed me see it on the computer screen as Dr Arshad explained that I still had some hairs that needed maturing. Dr Arshad also acknowledged the thinner areas which I had a little concern over and reassured me if by December time I’m still not happy and things haven’t improved a free top up would be offered to give me the result I’m 100% happy with. For me this has definitely confirmed I made the right choice choosing the Hair Dr for my hair transplant the support and care they have given since the day I booked my HT has been nothing but 1st Class, even now a year down the line they still want me to be 100% happy with the result. Would I recommend Dr Arshad to anyone needing a HT?? I sure would, I’ve been treated like and individual not just another paying customer.

That's great to hear the level of post op care and you had a good experience. Were you able to look back at the before pics the clinic took as well to see your progress?

Good to know there are hairs still to mature which will keep improving and fingers crossed it closes out your last few bits (personal I think your results look pretty good as they are!)

Yep the doctor got the pre op pictures up and even took new ones today. Yes im 90% happy with my result and the fact Dr Arshad wants me to be 100% happy and that he noticed the areas that lacked density, which he felt needed to be touched up for him to be totally happy with the result was very reassuring and proves that Dr Arshad takes every HT as a work of art.

I’ve had 4 HTs, including one with the @HairDr Clinic and I have been one of those that sees a big improvement after the 12 month mark, in terms of the final result. I guess it might just take a little longer for hair to mature amongst some than others.

I can also testify about Hair Drs aftercare. Second to none. I received texts, phone calls, and a face to face appointment. They really do care about their patients.

It’s good to hear you’re happy with the 12 month follow up appointment and that the clinic said they will offer a free top up if required. Did they say how many grafts you have left in reserve?
On your last set of pictured I can see the fuller hairline but the pictures are too blurry to see the hairline like we would in person. It would be great if you could add the pictures the clinic took or have your partner take some outside in normal daylight. This will allow for a better opinion on the result.
Hopefully, your hair does make further improvements in the coming months that you and the clinic are satisfied with.

I will ask the clinic for the pictures they took and post them here. The Dr didn’t mention how many graphs I had left but he did say that my donor is still very well stocked for any more procedures. Yes I’m giving it till November time to see if the thinner areas improve and if not will book my top up procedure. It is reassuring that the clinic are supportive and what you to be 100% happy with the final result.

13 month update with towel dried hair, so slight damp/wet still. Still got that slightly thinner section in the middle and right temple but knowing that Dr Arshad will sort this with a top up is very reassuring.

Yep I noticed that when researching HT, that’s why I’m going to keep adding pics up until about 2 years I think. So people can see how HT can still improve after the 12 month mark

Hi Bm. It’s when you compare to your pre op you see the difference. You now have a full hairline Whereas before it was non existent. Your images aren’t the clearest but I’ve put these two as a comparison. Maybe ask the clinic for the pictures they took which we can then use to compare to the ones taken pre op at the clinic. I see the area behind that’s still thin, with some luck it’ll improve more.
It’ll be interesting following your progress all the way until the 2 year mark.
