Hey! new on here, I've been reading a lot of information online and several posts on this site but now with my seemingly rapid thinning of my hair on the top of my head and crown I am seriously contemplating purchasing Regain foam before it's too late.. Just a few questions in anyone can answer.

Firstly, I've read that when you start using regain foam you first go through a hair shed.... Is this a lot and very noticeable to my peers?

Secondly, I am almost forced to style my hair the same way everyday, it's medium length and i used fibre putty to mess it up and hairspray to keep it like that... When using Regaine can I style style my hair this way?

Any useful information would be appreciated, also if i do decide to take the plunge i will use this site to detail my progress with photo updates.

*About me incase you need to ask, I'm a 23 year old Caucasian male (24 in November) anything else you'd like to know feel free to ask*

Sheds will vary from patient to patient, not everyone will shed, you don't suddenly lose a load of hair, usually just thins a little. The foam dries in minutes and helps in styling your hair as it sticks together similar to your styling product. It's safe to use both in tandem.

Bastion is right sheds do vary, I personally never experienced one. If you are concerned about styling you could just use the foam before you go to bed then wash it out in the morning and style as normal.

Ok. So i've decided to look at getting Regaine foam early december. Do you know the best place to get it and would I need to consult my GP first because it effects blood preasure?!..

Hey again! It's 2 weeks until I decide to purchase regaine foam for the first time, after doing a bit more research, i hear it's no good for medium to long length hair?

I have medium length hair for a guy but my scalp is clearly visible in light from above and towards the forehead it's a bit thicker but not great... Would regaine foam be wasted on me if it's not good for medium length hair? Or are there techniques to help allow the foam to reach the scalp?

If your scalp is visible you should be fine I would think. The foam is easy to apply its just like hair styling mousse I would still give it a try if I were in your shoes personally.

if i was you i would buzz my hair to a number 1 or 2. there 2 good things about it. 1. the foam is alot easier to put on and gets right to ur scalp. 2. u get to see how u look with short hair, so if the rogaine doesnt work on u, ull know how ull look in a couple years. not trying to be mean with that statement but that what i did. i never really got a shed and im getting great results. ive been on it for almost 3 months. moral of the story- cut your hair really short and use it 2 times a day everyday. Good luck to you brother and remember we are all in this together ;)

Hello! Back again, I finally have purchased Regaine foam.. 3 month pack. (decided to wait till after christmas) plan on starting in a couple of weeks after i get my hair cut

I will try and add photos on this forum too.

BUT before I start i have read some stories about people having some serious hair loss within the first couple of months of use, now my query is..

IF i were to experience this and freak out and stop using Regain to prevent losing more, would the hair that i lose from the shred come back or is it gone forever?

I ask this because clearly minox attacks the weak hairs first and replaces them, but if i stop using minox how can it replace them? and also it's said that when you stop using regain after time you will just end up where you started.. if that makes sense?

and advice will be appreciated before i take the plunge in 2 weeks time!
