Wayne Rooney HT

This represents the majority of hair transplant results most especially with the extent of his hair loss and personally I think it looks excellent as it looks like his own natural hair and he does not seem to be using concealer which is probably a relief for him being a footballer.

I might have done it a little differently. A little less hair in the crown and hairline. Especially the hairline it just looks a tad denser then what behind it and it should be the other way around as you get that rim effect. Where it looks like you have a rim of hair on the front of your head. I would have gone higher on the hairline and added more density in the middle just my opinion though.

Young guys should really take a look at that point on the rim effect it's very subtle in Wayne Rooney's result and can be seen somewhat in that first picture. This is why you really do not want too much density in the hairline.

It looks very good at this point.

One of the main The problems he has is the fact hes a footballer imo so styling is always going to be more difficult. We all mention realistic expectations prior to a HT but Hes up against extreme wind due to running.,Messing up his hair due to heading the ball, different weather conditions etc etc. Your average Joe can make a HT look much better with styling but they won't usually come up against extreme conditions that can mess hair up all the time and add to the thin look. I think Rooney's hair can and does look ok at times and we have to remember he was advanced in his loss pattern.

I wonder if he is on meds though?

Yes I agree with bulitnut. Everyone should plan a hair transplant for real life. Going through life with having to worry if your hair moves or does not stay in place is not real life.

Plan a ht around being active, caught in the rain, going swimming, out on a windy day, riding in a fast car with the window rolled down, on a boat, on a roller coaster, on a motor cycle, on a bike, grappling on the mat, having a woman run her hands through your hair, being outside at high noon on a sunny day, playing football, grappling or whatever your sport may be, thousands of different scenario's can be listed.

Plan you hair transplant for real life. You are better off having less hair and it to be completely natural looking then constantly having to worry about it.

Wayne looks comfortable.................that's more important then having hair that does not move.

I think it's got better now - his surgery was in 2011.

Was this after the first transplant?

I wonder how many hair's were actually transplanted and which method did he go for ?

Wayne Rooney's hair still baffles me to be honest, some days you see it and it looks fine but on other occasions it doesn't. He obviously wears a lot of concealer whilst playing but it still looks good in the after match interviews when his hairs wet from being showered..... so i'm wandering if it looks thinner at times due to different lighting situations or something. When all said and done though he was balding severely and very quickly so it does look better than before or at least most of the time anyway.
I do think its only a matter of time though before he adds some more density.

Indeed - But he had it done when he was like 25 years old?! Young.

The picture i posted was after his second. About 5 months. He seems to use concealer for games, and tends not to for training. He has obviously lost hair between the two procedures so he is kind of back where he started.

He looks better than he did 4 years ago, but he really should of waited untill he was at least 30, considering how aggresive his hairloss is.

I went to watch spurs play utd earlier in the season, saw him up close, he is developing a thinning pattern at the back now aswell. I have a feeling when he is 35 he is going to look very odd. I doubt he has many grafts left now after 2 ops either

I saw him in the match yesterday - well on TV looks like he is losing hair on the crown?

I think he went too early if you want my frank opinion. He can afford it - like salt and pepper to him but still: - Don't know when this was taken but it was after his first transplant and maybe second.

How many transplants could you have before you run out of grafts in donor area?

I saw him on Tv after the match, I thought his hair looked good especially when you look at his pre op pictures. Also he had no products in his hair, all natural. If he is losing in the crown then maybe he will address that at some point or he may be happy to have a thin crown and leave it as is.

Yes I am sure after 2 transplants LOL. But he obviously didn't have the crown done?! Or did he? if so it's thinning . I had some of my crown done but may need to go back if I lose more![):h::

He could very well be losing more hair it looking at what's been done it appears to have been planned well so if he loses more hair the existing HT will look natural enough if he decided he wants no more.
Lots of patients will go back multiple times for varying reasons.

I thought his hair looked really good in the post interview when his hair was wet. At least if he wants another ht it'll be a choice rather than a must.

I agree his hair always looks good in the post match interviews when it's wet. I think the main problem for him is because he's a celebrity the paps are going to take pics every time his hair looks thin or not so good even though everyone can have a bad hair day..... but overall considering his loss he's still managing to pull off a look of having a half decent head of hair most of the time (NOT ALWAYS) so he must be happy surely.

I shouldnt laugh because we are all in the same boat, but my favourite was...."rooney still owed money on his ht, so they have reposessed some of it "

Got to admit that's cruel but made me chuckle........it must hurt the guy to read these, it also shows the lack of understanding from the public and media As they either think you can have a full and perfect head of hair following a HT or you end up with pluggy dolls hair both ends of the spectrum.

But he is still losing more hair on his crown is he not or did he have this transplanted and it didn't work? He has had two transplants! To me his crown looked like it was thinning?
His frontal hairline looked very impressive. - Well that was in 2011.
