Hey guys,
I decided to join the hairlossexperiences forum due to the state of my hair loss affecting me greatly. I have been suffering from severe depression and anxiety from childhood (since the age of 2) due to trauma being passed down from family as they are oblivious to the concept of mental health. I’m 25 years old and I have experienced severe hair loss on my crown area leaving a bald patch and this has progressed to the middle in which the hair strands have miniaturised.
I have been taking dutasteride and using regaine minoxidil for 9 months with zero progress, however I am currently still using the products till this day. I have been wearing a cap regularly when going out due to the fact that I’m young and I can’t accept the fact that I look like this at a young age. I knew I was losing hair from a young age since 17-18 years old but the hair loss progressed aggressively by the time I was 22. I didn’t really reach out to help because I was still studying at university and I have now graduated.
I have been making appointments to dermatologists who suggest that a hair transplant is the best option. I have heard good things about the hair dr with lead surgeon Dr Arshad and have had a pre consultation with the secretary who has said that I can have 2 sessions which are 12 months apart each with 2500 grafts. I have been leaning more towards this clinic due to their reviews and 0% interest in finance as I am a graduate. My heart really tells me that I want a hair transplant as I really care about my body and image.
I completely understand about the horror stories people have posted with regards to bad transplants from surgeons who do not know what they are doing but I have heard positive reviews about Dr Arshad which I why I’m considering going for a transplant. I was hoping if people could give me some background on this clinic and that if it is worth going for a transplant and how legit they are.
Thank you.
