This one goes into it in more detail with the angle at the front being 15-20 degrees. This will vary slightly between clinics that know how to create hairlines correctly. Creating a hairline

You do have nice coverage for your post-op timeline which will continue to improve. New grafts can and do grow awkwardly, sometimes quite wiry in the early stages.
I`m pleased the forum helps you and that you appreciate the support offered.
It`s members like yourself who document their journey and offer help to others that are a real asset. Thank you for being so supportive.

Yeah your last message made me appreciate that I'm maybe ahead of schedule with coverage but that the hair maturity isn't at the stage yet to enable styling etc, its currently really fine and wiry as you say, so hoping in time when the hair shafts have thickened up I'll have a quiff even Elvis would be jealous of!!

Its also very kind of you to dig further for me for more info on hairlines - I've clicked on the link & it looks quite an informative read so I'll brush up on it (pardon the pun!) over the weekend. Thank you again for all you do for us. I'll post more photos on the next haircut.

I`ve watched many talks by Dr Ron on hairlines at various conferences but rather than explain in my own words it’s better to read it from him. Your hair will change once it matures and takes on its normal characteristics. Then you’ll be able to style that Elvis quiff and give @Dazzster26 a run for his money.

I’ll look forward to your next set of update pictures.

Have a great weekend.

Photos five and a half months since transplant and 1 week after 2nd haircut. Cut at grade 6 so longer than last time but will reduce grades on future cuts so to see how short I can go before seeing scar. Let hair dry naturally with just 4-5 gentle pats of towel to prevent it dripping so you can see it without it being touched / combed etc.

So here's photos at 7 months post transplant. Not cut since 5.5 months photos (on page 2) - and left untouched after washing so you can see it not combed or manipulated.

This is looking very good. Your wavy hair is an excellent characteristic of coverage. I`d say anyone looking at you full face on is seeing a totally new person. With you being just over the halfway point I'm predicting more growth and density.
This is a great start to the New Year for you. What a confidence booster.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks for your comments Bigmac - the wavy hair is something I've noticed but was never aware I had before the transplant! Perhaps its where I'm letting it dry naturally without combing it? - think next set of photos I'll comb it and see. I'm naturally pleased with the coverage so far......... although apprehensive on the crown! I know its been said in the past the crown can take 12-18 months, but I don't really see any difference to the photos taken 1.5 months ago - should I be concerned as i was anticipating much better coverage.

Excellent progress so far. I went back to see your before pictures, your crown was a massive bare area. I think it will keep improving with the time left.

Always pleased to hear your thoughts Kevboy, thanks mate......... and cheers for checking back on original crown photos - I do hope you're right that it will improve further. I'll post some more photos in a month or two and hopefully the crown will have made more progress by then.

I think the crown will improve further. The meds do help to, it can be a slow process. When I had my first crown repair HT I was happy with it but knew I’d need another for extra density. You may need a small surgery after 12 months if you want your crown to full, no scalp showing.
Yes, comb your hair so we can see how it looks.

Well here are the photos 8.5 months post transplant. This is the first time I've combed my hair for the photos - and I've also taken them in a different place which isn't quite as light as the previous area but doesn't have any shadowing here.
In the first photo I combed my hair forward with a fringe - the last 3 are without the fringe how I normally wear it. Interested to hear your progress thoughts. Thanks

Thank's for the update cooty! Sorry for my English.

First of all, everything looks natural which is the most important thing for this matter. Front Line and the Top look cool. The crown is not entirely covered but it does not harm the overall image. I guess now you live a live of a normal person. I am glad for you!

It is hard to compare 7 and 8.5 months results for the Top since the light is less harsh in the last one. The light for the front line in 8.5 months result looks the same as in 7 months. Front line I think is more full and dense now. And you trimmed hairs from the sides more which also makes front line looks more volumed.

Thank you for the photos from the sides!

Photo with the exposed front line (when hair are combed up) would be very welcomed.

Looks like a strong success in the making. 8.5 months and several more to go for additional refinement and fullness.

Hiya May - thanks for your comments and happy to oblige. I will be sure to include exposed front hair line as requested when doing next set of photos.... will try and do within next couple of weeks but please bear with me as rushed off my feet at present.

Thank you both A_4 and Joe Tillman - greatly appreciate your feedback. You start to get a bit concerned at this stage as growth isn't that apparent so its very good of you both to advise as you have and I will keep my fingers crossed that you're right.
I will keep posting photos as regularly as I can. Thanks again for kindly commenting

Hi Cooty.

From where you started to now the growth has been good resulting in a totally different look for you.

Your starting point had a lot of ground to cover which has been achieved. Crowns can and do take longer to see the full improvement. As the other members have said, still time for more.

The old you.
