Interesting thanks!

After doing some research myself I have gone down to 1g Fin 3 times a week.

I watched a great video explaining it here:

It decreases the chance of side effects yet still does the job intended
So do you take 1 tablet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday?

The HT I had with TheHairDr has changed my life and is responsible for the changes you see,

It goes without saying a Good lifestyle change is good when having health issues (even with hair)

@Siyork89 Thanks for keeping the forum updated with your progress, which has been remarkable.

The discussion about a reduced regime of finasteride is very interesting and something that Dr Arshad has written to the British Medical Association and Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain to look into in more detail and perhaps this can become an officially recommended initial dosage regime according to the British National Formulary (BNF). At the moment the recommended licensed dose of finasteride in the UK according to the BNF for androgenetic alopecia remains at 1mg per day.

This has to be one of the best transformations on the forum so far. We had very similar hairlines pre HT and almost the same grafts placed....I'm praying my results are as good as yours!

I missed this update. It`s looking very good, you`ve had great growth.
Do you have more images showing the hairline and a top down picture to show the density?
You must be very happy.
What are your friends and family saying about it?

Recently had my hair trimmed and got it slightly parted on top ( I’m working on growing it out at the moment)

(attaching original photo for comparison)

you can see this colour has strengthened massively over time

Slightly shorter than my last photo now but hope these photos give some more context

Still got a lot of small hairs coming through on the front

I’ll get some more including the front tonight when I’m away from work

It's an amazing change to your pre op state.
What are family and work colleagues saying about your mop of hair?

Incredible transformation - congrats! Do you know what has caused the change in colour? Are you using topical finasteride/minoxidil?

0.5 mg fin
1ml topical minox before bed

I take the following supplements (one tablet of each at lunchtime:

22mg zinc picolinate
12000mcg biotin
400mg magnesium citrate
Nutravita multivitamin

(the magnesium helps reduce calcification in blood vessels and helps blood flow to the hairs, biotin helps the hairs grow and keeps them healthy, zinc is a personal choice and multivitamin is good for obvious reasons)
I eat much better now

Mixture of veg and fruits eg:

Watermelon
Strawberries
Blueberries

Eg for main meal I’ll have a mixture of spinach , mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, onions, etc with a chilli con carne

drink water , coffee or diet soda only

Just a better lifestyle really

less stress

This is all really easy and just becomes a part of the daily routine like brushing teeth and combing hair before bed , not as much work as it may seem and well worth it for anyone before or after their HT

That’s good to hear.
In what way have you found people treat you better?

Well I won’t go into details too much but most people with hair loss know what people can be like , making comments etc ,

pretty much had people telling me daily that I was looking thin on top, obviously haven't had that for a while now

everything else is in my control - diet , weightlifting so looking a year or so down the line to be at my best hopefully

I used to get the comments about going bald etc. I haven’t seen those sane people since my restoration so I’m genuinely interested in how people treat you better but maybe we can start a new topic on that.

I’ve had a long term relationship with my awesome girlfriend for 3 years now and we are really happy together , wouldn’t change her for the world

before I met her though I had been rejected by a date just based on my hair ,it is what it is I guess
But a lot of guys will have experienced that I’m sure

Yes that is true, not a second look which makes you more insecure.
Great that you have a wonderful partner.
Enough of this now. Back to your hair. Are you using any specific shampoo that you feel makes your hair feel and look good?

I don’t wash daily anymore cause it’s bad for the hair , just wash once a week with clarifying shampoo
