Fantastic pics. Awesome detailed experience. Absolutely great to see things coming along for you. I really do love the hairline. Its different than what I have seen from H&W, but I am glad to see this because prior I personally believed that although they are super talented, their hairlines were cookie cutter. I guess this is a harsh statement and I don't mean it literally necessarily, but I felt that there was less creativity.
Anyhow--your results so far look stellar and I think that it is going to blend extremely well to your native hair. The first 2 months suck. Month 3-4 you start to see hope and then it is all good after that. We are all rooting (isn't this meaning in Britain a little different-LOL) for you.

I meant to add that the one thing I noticed is that the density is going to be killer as you can barely (if at all) see a difference between the native hair and transplanted hair in the close ups.
How did you get the close ups anyways? Those are super cool pics but could never pull it off.
How much time are you taking off work? I assume that it must be awhile since you shaved down.

SP- re: FUE into scar/length: I'm not sure how short I could go if I FUE'd into scar. I would think a #2. I've only seen a couple of cases of this, and the one I really liked I can't seem to find right now. Re my donor density: to be totally clear, Dr. Hasson said "above average" and this was before my actual strip removal; after strip removal he estimates I have 3-4K left which puts me ~7-8K total. So, I don't think I have "outstanding" donor density or anything. There is a pic in this last set that shows an extreme close up of my donor, but it's w/flash and it makes it look like I have DUPA or something. Will try and take more.

BM-nah not too great in the kitchen, just like to mix up a few dishes.

NN-ya I hope the density turns out fantastic. Close up pics: I just fooled around w/my camera a bit until they came out clear. Most of them didn't come out clear. I'm self-employed so the down time wasn't too much of an issue.

Today marked two weeks and I had the staples removed. I went to a dr and they acted like I was nuts when I told them I had a ht. W/each staple removal the lady said---"sorry, sorry".."that looks like it hurts" (looking at my scar). I got the impression they think I just made some horrible mistake. lol.
Honestly, my head feels exactly the same as it did w/them in. It's my scalp that's (semi) tight, not the staples. They really didn't bother me at all. Even if they did, the fact that I'm able to enjoy my new hair line at this time MORE than off sets it.
In this shot you can see the thinning area in my crown, although it is under really direct harsh light.

SP---NW/Diffuse Thinners:
-Dr. Hasson said my thinning pattern is ~NW6, which is more than what I thought in my initial e consult.
-Both diffuse thinning & NW patterns are relative to the individual, meaning there is a ton of variation among NW level patterns (i.e. one NW6 might have a very broad/wide crown while another is more narrow) & the diffuse thinning you have today does not mean that THAT is your ultimate pattern of loss. It could expand and extend further in the future.
I think this picture is a pretty accurate representation of what my crown looks like. I know I look like a muppet in this pic w/that shag-dog hair :whatever: but I grew it out to see what everything would look like (i.e. hair caliber & crown pattern) right before I booked the ht. If you look at the top of my crown where it's obvious I've lost quite a bit of hair & then go down you can see where my pattern appears to end. It appears (to me) to be quite narrow, but goes down a bit where the hairs have begun to miniturize yet it's not all scalp.
Fin:
I'm hoping that I caught this w/fin in time for the native hair to thicken up and not be a problem, I believe my chances of thickening up native hair are greater than re-growing lost hair. FWIW I'm a huge skeptic /cynic (hence why I never got on fin) but Dr. H told me that & I quote "it's the closest thing we have to a miracle drug". He believes my crown will be fine if I stay on fin & told me that out of the 7K patients he's had, of those who have gotten on fin over the past 11 years, none of them have reported more loss in the crown. Joe said the only patient who has reported more loss changed his source and began purchasing it online; they suspect it wasn't the real deal. Dr. Hasson also showed me pictures of his crown from eight years ago when he first got on fin. He said he had more loss than me, and now it's way thicker than mine.
I think the open ended question of where one's ultimate balding pattern will end up, is on everyone's mind when they take the plunge, because it's an unknown variable & is (to some degree) out of our control. But, w/fin---I like my chances. Even in an absolute worst case scenario for myself I like my options w/ht's as opposed to being slick (shaved) bald.

It's looking really good - as you say the red is all from the staples and that'll start to go now they're out. I'm smiling at your comments about the doctor's behaviour to your HT - you could have fed them some Hunter S. Thompson-esque nightmare hard-luck story just to see their reaction.
