Good call with fue,i seen on htn you were advised to go for strip instead of fue which isnt really suprising but fue is def the way to go especially since your scar is as good as you say it is,when your hair is buzzed for fue could you take some photos of your scar please?thanks!

Looking fantastic Orlhair, another 1500 grafts via Fue sounds good to me.
Like Mars i`d like to see your scar also when you`re back in the chair.

Thanks for the update.

Here are some photos at 11 months. I have really noticed a change in the last several weeks with my hair noticeably thicker and just generally more "mature". I was always skeptical of the thought of changes this long after surgery, but it is definitely true that you have to wait a full year or better to see the full results. Very happy with where I am. I am headed back next month for an FUE procedure to primarily close off the corners a little bit. Not really necessary, but I am so happy with the first surgery that I decided to go back for more.....classic hair greed

It'll be interesting to shave the back of your head in preparation for the FUE procedure. You'll have a military crew cut soon. Just don't shave your head before you get here. We'll do it for you.

Your result is looking great. It looks better in person, I must say. Although, you do a fantastic job with your pics. See you soon.

Thanks Bigmac!

Quick update. I decided not to have my FUE procedure after all. Last week, I realized just how content and happy I was with my hair. Over the last several weeks it has continued to get even better! I just decided that if I was that content with it, there was really no need to do anything else for now. I know the FUE procedure I had planned would have turned out great if I wanted it, but for now I am so happy with my hair restoration. Special thanks to SMG and especially Janna for working out the schedule for the procedure and then canceling it for me today. I know someone will probably be happy they can get in even sooner than they thought. I just can't say enough good things about my experience with SMG from beginning to now. If I change my mind down the road, I will be back for sure!

Thats fantastic, were there any contributing circumstances to such a good donor closure?

Thats a great donor area, Orlhair must be very happy with that.

Yes, he is very happy with the scar.

The contributing factors for virtually non-existing scars are: patient physiology and physician's closure technique. The width of the harvested strip cannot be so wide that there's tension when the sides are brought together.

Hi all. I went for round 2 with SMG pn 1/28 & 1/29. I had a total of 1513 grafts via FUE (969 with ARTAS on day 1 and 544 via regular punch on day 2). Goals were to reinforce my temple corners and thicken a couple of areas. Dr. Ron also thickened up the entire front third. Some grafts were added to the middle as well. With my strip procedure I had not had any work done in the middle. Basically, I just was so happy with my first result that hair greed set in and I decided I wanted more :) All went well and as expected everyone with SMG was fantastic. Made it home today. I have a nice military buzzed hair cut. I had very little discomfort. I took my Vicodin the first two nights even though I did not feel I needed it. I have not taken anything today other than a couple of advil this morning. All looks great. Swelling has set in on the forehead, but I had the same issue last time. SMG took lots of photos and Janna will help put some together which show my strip scar with various lengths and shaved. Man I had a great scar result. The FUE donor is already healing nicely. My hair grows really fast, so I should be in good shape in a week or two. I will update as things move along. Very excited to see the results in a few months.
